Here's your chance to help Scott. Which volunteer opportunity tickles your fancy?
DISPLAY A LAWN SIGN
With a lawn sign on your lawn, you show all passers-by who you are supporting. It is very beneficial as it keeps Scott Bokun for School Committee in the forefront, especially if a number of people pass by each day. And once it's planted in your lawn, that's it (unless we get a lot of snow this year).
HOLD A SIGN
As it gets closer to voting day, it will be important to show support for Scott by holding signs in the town center. this gets the word out as well as helps citizens realize that an election is approaching. It is only for an hour or so, which makes it easy to fit into your schedule.
HOST A HOUSE COFFEE
House parties are key to a winning campaign, because they are the best way for voters to meet Scott and see firsthand how experienced and knowledgeable he is about School Committee issues. Just by sending invitations, you get the word out to your friends and neighbors that Scott is your candidate.
SPREAD THE WORD
Help spread the word on social media. Follow Scott on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Like and share campaign news with your friends. Post your campaign pictures or send them for sharing to TeamBokun@gmail.com
HELP GET OUT THE VOTE
You can run the best campaign in the world but you've got to get people to the polls to cast their vote. This job would involve contacting supporters and reminding them about the election date (and maybe even helping them reach their polling place).
WRITE A LETTER
Letters to the Editor in The Lexington Minuteman are still important, even though print media is struggling. A published letter telling Lexington how you know Scott and why the School Committee needs him reaches a certain group of people who vote and are interested in the town. These letters will also be published on the website and social media.
