I endorse my dad, Scott Bokun, for Lexington School Committee. My dad has tackled new roles throughout his life, from stay-at-home dad to preschool teacher, from a Town Meeting member to most recently a legal assistant. He has excelled in each of these positions, and always commits completely to the work he needs to accomplish.
I remember many a night where I was staying up late for LHS school work, and there he’d be at the table with his computer, typing away to make it happen, creating a special lesson plan or researching a warrant article for an upcoming Town Meeting. Besides setting a good example of how to work with a team, my dad is also the one who taught me the power of to-do lists and the importance of maintaining an organized schedule, which is serving me well in college at RIT. His dedication to organization is exemplified by his email sign off: “Just cross it off the list and be happy.”
You may know him as Mr. B. from Hancock Nursery School, or the Scott Bokun who was president of LexFun! (formerly the Lexington Preschool PTA), or the Scott Bokun who guided families to put on a musical with the Lexington Youth Summer Theatre every summer for five years. Perhaps you have yet to meet him. When you do, you’ll be able to see his passion for getting involved and making a difference. Vote for my dad, Scott Bokun, for Lexington School Committee!
